Style of photography:
Zelda and Johan’s work displays a blend of photojournalism, traditional wedding photography style and illustrative photography. Photojournalism is a popular style of wedding photography and is essentially a series of candid photographs which is natural, spontaneous, unposed and cover the events of the entire day. These photographs tell the story of your wedding day and capture the spontaneous emotions, love, laughter and joyful moments.
Photojournalistic photographs are not pre-planned, but documents events as they unfold. Our photojournalism photographs will document the bride and groom preparing for the ceremony, the wedding ceremony and events during reception.
Traditional photographs are pre-planned and include posed or ‘set up’ photographs captured by the photographer. These photographs are pre-planned and done according to requests and a set up list. The traditional style of wedding photography is more time consuming and takes 45 minutes up to an hour to be done where the wedding party and guests are being photographed.
Illustrative photography is used to document design elements such as detail of the wedding dress, jewellery, bridal accessories, decor, flowers and table decorations.
